Why Performing Arts?

Lower-income Latinx and BIPOC youth typically lack the opportunities to their white counterparts

What’s the reality?

Latinx students are currently the largest POC group in the public school system. According to NCES, 33% of these students are living in poverty. Latine children, thus, are less likely to receive an arts-rich education and along with BIPOC children, they face the challenges of education inequity.

With the pandemic, more families are struggling to provide and are under stress, including children. Research shows that COVID-19 is affecting the mental health of children with depression and anxiety more prevalent.

Now imagine how it is affecting these children who were already at a disadvantage pre-Covid?

We are on a mission to change that by providing sustainable free high quality performing arts education for lower income Latinx + BIPOC communities in NYC, San Antonio and Tulum, Mexico, nurturing creative confidence and boosting mental wellness in a safe and inclusive space led by artists who are passionate educators. Join the mission as we build future leaders and empower our youth through sustainable performing arts education.
